T1 Photo is Thomas A. Matthews.... I strive at being the best at everything I do and
I use only the latest digital technology to help me accomplish this task.

I have been involved in photography as a hobby for many years now, dating all the
way back to my high school days. I took Photography I and II learning the art of
35mm Black and White photography along with developing and processing all the
shots we took in class. But the love didn't stop there. After graduating in 1988, I
joined the U.S. Army and spent 2-1/2 years in Germany where I purchased my first
35mm camera. It was a Minolta 3000i that I still has to this day. A little beat up
from a trip to sunny Iraq during Operation Desert Storm, but a great piece of
equipment and I used it to capture many great photos from there and other spots
around the world....

After returning from Germany and Iraq, I set the camera aside for while to pursue
other aspirations, but then four years ago the bug struck again and I purchased my
first digital camera, a Fuji S5200, which I have since passed down to my oldest son
who enjoys wildlife photography when he has the time between sports and video
games....

After getting back into photography, I discovered just how much I loved the art and
started doing more and more with it. Landing a gig with the NAAFS for a short time,
I traveled the local MMA circuit taking fight pics and doing the write ups for Pro
Karate Weekly and that's when he decided to go full force into the feild and
purchased my first real camera. An Olympus E-500 and Wow, what a difference! It
was all I needed to realize that I could do this for the rest of his life.... The pictures
I began taking overwhelmed my friends and family. Then I attended a family
members wedding and asked the photographer doing the wedding if he would mind
me second shooting with him.... The photographer agreed and that was it... I was
hooked on wedding photography. I love every aspect of it and truly can't see myself
doing anything else in life. To explain the beauty of two people celebrating the first
day of their life together would not be possible without a photographer. Every time I
show a new couple the pictures from their wedding day, it truly makes my day to see
their eyes light up with joy at remembering and seeing that day from another
perspective, not just how they remember it....

Follow me as I write the next chapter in my life, as I preserve the memories in
yours....

Warm Regards,

Thomas
